WITH Clifton 19 points ahead after six minutes, the home crowd had every reason to fear a rout of dramatic proportions.
Instead, spirited Westcliff enjoyed something almost close to parity from that point, and although Clifton’s class was always in evidence, the hosts were rewarded with a deserved bonus point, crossing the line five times for the first time this season.
