JACK FOREST’s two tries helped Worthing see off struggling hosts Barnstaple to keep their National 2 South title hopes on the boil.
The outside centre scored early and late as the Surrey outfit made heavy weather of seeing off their spirited hosts, who defended stoically to deny Worthing a crucial bonus point.
That lack of a fourth try means Worthing slip a further point behind leaders Redruth and remain fourth in the table.
