PROMOTION-CHAS- ING Esher turned the screw in the second half to edge past Barnes and extend their unbeaten run to 11 games.
A cracking contest was expected following the 17- 17 draw between the sides at Esher, but the conditions reduced the game to a scrappy affair.
Barnes were pinned in their own half for much of the time and it was very much a game for the purists.
Unlike the previous encounter, it was dry at Barn Elms, but there was a whipping win...
