LEICESTER Lions turned on the style in the second half to finally break the resistance of gutsy visitors Westcliff.
The hosts trailed 12-0 early on but hit back to lead 14-12 at the break, before pulling away in the second period.
Westcliff opened the scoring after they worked the ball up the right wing and some smart interchanges ended with winger Jack Hogarth outrunning the Lions’ defence to score in the corner.
