SCRUM-HALF Elliott McPhun produced a wet conditions master-class to lead Old Albanian to a hard-fought win over hosts Canterbury.
In driving rain and a howling gale, McPhun made intelligent use of the box kick to give the visitors both territory and possession on a day of no frills rugby where tries for Christopher West and Alex Noot saw Old Albanian home.
Canterbury played into the wind and rain in the first half and, having withstood an early barrage, stole in front via the boot of Tom Best.
