BARNES were unable to back up last week’s good away win at Hinckley as they went down to Redruth.
And an already expected tough encounter was made harder with prop Harry Short injured in the warm-up.
Redruth set the tone from the off and led through a Fraser Honey penalty after five minutes. They then increased their lead with a penalty try after 21 minutes.
Five minutes later, Ben Fox scored in the corner, and Honey converted to extend the visitors’ lead to 17-0.
