THE last time Sutton recorded a league victory was at Barnes and they made it a welcome double in this return fixture at Rugby Lane.
Barnes had the perfect start in the second minute when Tom O’Toole intercepted near halfway and sped in for a try that Joshua Davies converted.
More good news came with an 11th-minute penalty try for a 14-0 lead.
Sutton gained a foothold when they were awarded a penalty try at the end of the first quarter.
