ESHER held on to seal a narrow victory at Leicester following a nail-biting finale in the East Midlands. Esher were first on the scoreboard, when James Chaumeton slotted a penalty for Esher.
After a balanced spell, Lions' Drew Rudkin saw yellow for a technical offence half-an-hour in. With Lions profiting to exert pressure, they drove forward with winger Devon Constant taking the ball over the line for a try, converted by Ben Young, for Lions to take a half-time lead.
