A LACK of killer instinct proved to be the difference as Bury St Edmunds defeated Esher in a tight contest.
A stray Tristan Roberts pass was intercepted by Greg White and he strolled under the posts untouched to give Bury St Edmunds the lead inside two minutes.
They doubled their advantage ten minutes later as hooker Rob Gardner crashed over from the back of a rolling maul from a line-out.
