DINGS surrendered a 26-7 lead to crash to defeat against Worthing at Shaftesbury Park.

The visitors made a bright start and opened the scoring in the first minute with a try from Curtis , but it was the hosts that went on to dominate the remainder of the first half.

A driving lineout yielded a penalty try for Dings on six minutes before fullback Jordan Grattan glided in for try number two.

No.8 Michele Canulli was on hand to grab Dings' third try on 21 minutes before wing Josh Trinham squeezed into the corner to secure the try-bonus score, and seemingly control.

But instead of forcing the Raiders to take risks in order the chase the game Dings continued to fling the ball about and were punished as a result.

Centre Jack Forrest intercepted a wayward pass to dart in under the posts for a converted try to make it 26-14 at the turnaround.

Forrest bagged his brace three minutes into the second half before Johnathan Dawe crossed on 48 minutes. McLean converted both tries and added a penalty to nudge his side 31-26 ahead.

Tom Anderson got a converted try back for Dings to retake the lead, but Jack Maslen's 75thminute try won it for the Raiders.
