WORTHING are just one point from safety after they edged out Old Redcliffians in an instant-classic on Saturday afternoon.
Late scores from Harry and Jack Forrest killed off the visitors in the end although a late penalty try - the tenth try of a pulsating clash, did create some added late drama. The visitors came storming out of the blocks as Christopher Pursall went over inside two minutes.
But Mathew McLean’s two early penalties gave the hosts a foothold before Ellis Joseph went over for the away side.
