CANTERBURY scored 21 second-half points to secure a home victory against and stay second in the table The two teams were evenly matched with a score of 14-13 at half-time, but Canterbury breezed their way to victory in the second-half thanks to tries from Samuel Rogers, Daniel Smart and Ricky Mackintosh.

The away side raced into an early lead through a Ben Leng penalty, but Canterbury hit straight back when full-back Charlie Grimes crossed, and Oliver Best added the extras.

A thrilling end to the first half saw the scoring go back and forth, Levi Roper dotting down for Bury St Edmunds, but Canterbury immediately regained the lead through Matthew Corker when Leng missed the conversion.

But the visitors reduced the deficit to just one point ahead of the break when Mark Kohler scored with just a minute left on the clock but missed the chance to have the halftime advantage when Leng missed again.

The visitors started the second half brightly however, with Jaid Wiltshire intercepting and sprinting clear.

The visitors were ahead 20-14, but their lead didn't last long. Rogers, Smart and Mackintosh all scored within 12 second-half minutes to wrap up the three points for Canterbury, Best converting all three.
