Clifton battle to points in scrappy contest

CLIFTON took the spoils in a game that will be remembered more for the excitement of the encounter than the quality of play.
The first half saw Bury dominate much of the possession and territory, but they could not convert their dominance into a lead, heading into the halftime break level.
Scum-half Mitch Spencer notched a classic kick and chase to open the scoring for Clifton, but loose Clifton play let in centre Mark Kohler with Cameron Ritchie converting to give the visitors a narrow advantage.
