CLIFTON won an enthralling encounter away at London Irish Wild Geese by just four points as their defence played a starring role.
The visitors started well, and with a swift interchange between Samuel Harrison and Tom Francis, they had a try with William Pomphrey going over.
However, the Wild Geese rebounded well to the early setback and thanks to a driving maul deep in the Clifton half, Tom Donegan was able to score the home side’s first try.
