CLIFTON’S mid season form continued to improve in a game where they enjoyed territorial advantage in the opening half but were denied sby strong Redruth tackling and their own mistakes.
The only first-half scores came from respective fly halves Brad Barnes and Richie Kevern with penalties The match burst into life on the restart when, directly from the kick-off, Clifton flanker Chris Rovery was bundled over the line, with Barnes converting.
Almost immediately, the Reds responded when Tom Notman kicked ahead to gather and score.
