Broadstreet…29
Worthing R…14
TWO tries from Morgan Dawes helped Broadstreet cruise to a comfortable victory over Worthing.
Broadstreet were looking to notch up a tenth league victory of the campaign and got off to the perfect start as frontrower Luke Truslove sniped over after just three minutes.
But the visitors struck back in the 33rd minute thanks to No. 8 Liam Perkins, with Matthew McLean converting.
Broadstreet looked to be heading into the break behind but Dawes popped up with his first of the afternoon a minute before the interval, Clifford Hodgson converting to make it 12-7.
And the home side asserted their dominance in the second period as Dawes crashed over to notch up his second on 57 minutes – Hodgson converting once more.
George Walsh was the next man to get his name on the scoresheet, crossing the whitewash after 64 minutes.
Worthing finally got themselves back into the contest with a try from Matthew Walsh, with McLean accurate with the boot again.
But as they did in the first half, Broadstreet had the final say in the dying moments courtesy of centre Connor Eastgate.
The result leaves Worthing bottom of the table with just four wins.
