Geese get back to winning ways

LONDON Irish Wild Geese snapped a fivematch losing streak as they put in an impressive display against Barnstaple at Hazelwood.
Adam Lloyd bundled over from a yard out for the visitors after an excellent run from Jarrad Hayler.
Peter Hodkinson slotted a penalty soon after and Wild Geese were ahead when the referee awarded a penalty try.
With both teams making plenty of handling errors in very wet and windy conditions, it soon became a battle of territory, points coming from the boots of Hodkinson and Gwyn Parks as Wild Geese took a slender lead into the second half.
