DANIEL Laventure’s try with four minutes remaining gave Wimbledon a much-needed victory over Clifton.
Benjamin Brooks gave Wimbledon a deserved early lead with a try, before Chris Levesley went over to put Clifton on the scoreboard.
Oliver Hutson’s try meant Wimbledon led at half-time but Clifton rallied in the second half, levelling through Callum Roberts, with Bradley Barnes adding the extras.
Penalties from Barnes and then Wimbledon’s James Doe levelled the scores with minutes to go before Laventure struck.
