A TIGHT game at The Slade eventually turned the way of the home side as two George Lawson tries settled a typical post- Christmas affair.
Clifton started the better of the two sides controlling possession and demonstrating early intent to attack with a quick tap and go from the first penalty.
Before long they found space out wide through a crossfield kick. TJs were adamant that they had won the race to the ball but the referee awarded the try to winger Callum Roberts and Bradley Barnes converted.
