THE day started disastrously for Rams when they lost scrum-half Oli Cole in the pre-match warm-up. Rams veteran Jez Flynn stepped onto the bench for his first game for his club in two years but a cameo two minutes at the end didn’t allow the home side’s all time top scorer to increase his 101-try tally.
The pre-match drama was set aside as Rams hooker Ben Henderson scored from a catch-anddrive in the fifth minute with Tom Humberstone adding the extras for a dream start.
