CANTERBURY’S experience told as they took the points in a pulsating match at Old Redcliffians.
The first score came the visitors’ way with neat hands finding winger Kieran Thompson. Reds responded and great hands from the backs saw them race up field, with Sam Hewick touching down.
Hewick was over again minutes later following a catch and drive to put the Reds 12-5 up.
Canterbury then combined well and worked the ball to Thompson for his second try of the afternoon.
