REDRUTH were made to work hard by new boys Wimbledon before ensuring a late win.
The Londoners were on the back foot from the off as Redruth dominated the early exchanges.
Having survived the initial onslaught, Wimbledon grew in confidence, shocking Redruth when they took the lead with a wellworked try by Rhys Morgan.
Stung by this setback Redruth redoubled their efforts, scoring a try from close range through Ethan Pattison, Joe Elderkin added the extras with a good conversion.
