REDRUTH secured a hard-fought victory over Canterbury, despite finishing the game with 14 men after hooker Matthew Gidlow was dismissed.
The visitors got on the scoresheet in the first minute when prop Tommy Phillips crashed over, but full-back Brett Rule could not add the conversion.
William Hilton missed a penalty for the hosts, before scrum-half Jack Oulton dotted down to extend the visitors’ advantage, Rule again missing the conversion.
