A CHRIS Lord hat-trick was enough to edge a nervy Bury side home against a spirited and determined Exmouth.
Bury had the dream start, scoring in the first minute from a weaving Lord run. Former London Welsh player Glyn Hughes converted and then did so again six minutes later when lock Arthur Marini cantered over.
However, as the half went on, Exmouth slowly but surely got themselves back into the contest.
