Redruth rewarded for their flying start

TWO early tries were enough for Redruth to secure the win as conditions deteriorated rapidly.
Redruth, playing down the slope, dominated the early stages. An early penalty miss from Brett Rule indicated it would not be a day for kickers.
The Reds maintained pressure, earning a string of penalties, which they kicked to the corner, with Bury infringing once too often as Sean Stapleton was sent to the sin bin.
With the advantage, Redruth opened the scoring from a catch and drive with prop Tommy Phillips going over.
