York RUFC have appointed former Great Britain rugby league star Graham Steadman as head coach.
Steadman will replace long-term head coach Lee Denham at the Regional 1 North East side, who has stepped down after more than 200 matches at the helm.
Staeadman, 62, made 97 appearances for York Knights RL from 1982 to 1986, as well as having spells with Huddersfield, Featherstone, Castleford and Australian side Gold Coast Chargers. He won 17 caps for Great Britain.
He has coached at Castleford RL, Cardiff Blues, Newcastle, London Scottish and Hull Ionians.
