DEFENCE was the order of the day for Esher as they dominated Barnes from start to finish to record a comfortable victory.
The first try of the game came through an unexpected source, as hooker Andrew Hamilton picked the ball up 40 metres out.
Rather than immediately shift the ball on, he barged over his opposite number, with shades of Jonah Lomu’s famous drive through Mike Catt in 1995, before bursting to the line and emphatically diving over to finish off.
