SEVERAL hundred members of Newport RFC will squeeze into Rodney Parade on Tuesday night to vote on the WRU’s £3.75m take-over of the stricken Dragons and the ground which has been home to the grand old Black-and- Ambers for the last 140 years.
Their choice, as spelt out by, among others, the Dragons’ octogenarian former owner Tony Brown, is a stark one: vote in favour and Rodney Parade gets a lease of life, vote against and the whole shooting match goes into receivership.
To ensure the former and avoid the latter, a 75 per cent majority is required.
