Battling Met stand up to be counted

The mid-table madness continued as Cardiff Met completed a momentous week for the university with a crucial 17-10 win over high flying Loughborough.
The fixture was the pick of the bunch this week, with Met winless in five and Loughborough having the chance to capitalise on Durham’s loss last week.
However, Met stood up to the pressure to mute Loughborough despite the 15 tries they put on Swansea last week.
Ross McKay’s penalty with five minutes remaining took Met out of reach, adding to his two conversions from Benji Williams’ and Rory Morgan’s tries.
