TWO enormous shocks in both the men’s and women’s Super BUCS leagues punctuate a thrilling start to the middle third of the season.
Both of last year’s league champions suffered defeats against teams they’re expected to beat. Exeter men, suffering their worst run of form in years in this competition, succumbed 44-33 at home to bottom-sitting Leeds Beckett, while Loughborough women enacted revenge on their national championship final defeat to Hartpury last season by 27-24.
