This week was the highlight of the school tens period, the Seaford Southern Tens tournament.
The tournament is unique in that its history as a sevens tournament, until Covid prompted a change to tens to suit the January weather, means it has a genuinely national scope rather than the more regional draw typical for tens tournaments.
It was Suffolk’s Ipswich that came away as the winners, improving on their silver medal in last year’s tournament. They beat RGS High Wycombe by 12-7 in the final to win the cup, thanks to tries from Harry Evans and the match-winn...
