France Under-20s coach Sebastien Calvet has emerged as favourite to replace Bernard Goutta on the conveyor-belt of managers at ProD2 side Agen.
Goutta suddenly quit the club on New Year’s Eve, almost two years to the day after his arrival on a rescue mission in January 2022.
Since his departure, a triumvirate of forwards coach Dave Ryan, defence coach Adel Fellah, and attack coach Barry Maddocks have been in charge of day-to-day affairs, leading the squad to three wins in five, including a solid 31-7 victory over leaders Provence on Thursday.
