Finn Russell says no to Japan’s offer of ‘at least’ £1m

FINN Russell has turned down the chance to become the best-paid player in the world and will see out the remaining two years of his Racing 92 contract.
Blindside reported last month that Green Rockets Tokatsu wanted to buy the Scotland and Lions star out of his Racing contract, which lasts until the end of next season.
Green Rockets boss, former Australia head coach Michael Cheika, rig ht, put Russell, 28, at the top of his shopping list and was ready to offer a money-spinning contract.
The deal they have put on the table easily eclipsed the £1m a season that Montpellier pay Handre Pollard...
