Gloucester coach George Skivington had nothing but praise for his team after their narrow loss to reigning European champions La Rochelle.
“I can only be very proud of the lads. Gutted, but very proud,” he said. “The boys fought incredibly hard and actually I thought we were very unlucky with a couple of calls during the game that could have seen us build a lead but that’s the way it goes sometimes. The boys were very brave. I have nothing but good to say about them all.
