Sale Sharks director of rugby Alex Sanderson feels the reduction of the Premiership salary cap is making it harder for English teams to compete in Europe.
Sale were knocked out of the Heineken Champions Cup by Racing 92 on Sunday meaning there will be no English representation in the semi-finals of the competition.
