RHYS Webb’s style of captaincy is to lead by deed more than word, but the scrum-half ’s leadership skills have been tested in ways he could never have foreseen this week.
The Ospreys confirmed in the build-up to today’s Champions Cup opener with Sale Sharks that their hooker Ifan Phillips had suffered life-changing injuries in a serious road traffic accident.
Phillips, 25, won’t return to professional rugby and his accident has shocked the Ospreys.
