ULSTER head coach Dan McFarland defended his side’s decisions to kick for the corner in the first half rather than go for goal to build a score.
“When they’re down to 14 men and you kick to the corner, if you can’t score tries then you are not going to be a good enough team to win in Clermont, it’s as simple as that.
