Cockerill rues the famous victory that got away

EDINBURGHmissed a golden chance to cause a major Champions Cup upset in Montpellier after dominating their hosts.
As well as keeping the home side pointless in the second half, Edinburgh enjoyed 68 per cent possession and 70 per cent territory. They also had two tries ruled out by English referee Wayne Barnes to add to their frustration.
“I hate being a plucky loser because if you lose, you lose,” said Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. “But, my God, it is frustrating because 100 per cent we should have won it.”
