THIS was Munster at their best. A bunch of bold, brassy scrappers rising to the occasion in front of their own fans to outgun a Toulon team stacked with mega-bucks mercenaries.
It also seemed to be written in the stars that one of their scrappers-in-chief, wing Andrew Conway, would score a try for the ages to settle this cliff-edge encounter with only five minutes remaining, with Ian Keatley’s conversion giving them the one point advantage they needed to progress to the semi-finals.
