Tragic loss of Henley stalwart Priestley

HENLEY Rugby club are reeling from the sudden death of club stalwart Simon Priestley, who collapsed and died on the field last Saturday when playing for the Henley Bears – the club’s 4th XV against High Wycombe. He leaves a wife Julie and two children, Amelia and Jonty.
Priestley joined the side from Coventry in 2001 and was earmarked for the 1st XV but immediately picked up a serious leg injury which almost saw him retire before he returned to enjoy his rugby at a lower level.
