Sam Dugdale has stepped out of the shadows of the Curry brothers and Sale Sharks boss Alex Sanderson couldn’t be happier for the previously unheralded openside.
The 24-year-old has come into his own this season with a string of influential performances helping the Sharks to offset the loss of Tom Curry to a hip injury and complement the work of the other Curry twin, Ben, in their late-season march into the play-offs.
