Rich Lane believes a two-week break from fixtures has been just the tonic that Bristol need after their mauling by Gloucester last time out.
The Bears were given a taste of their own medicine by a Gloucester team threatening to take their mantle as the Premiership’s entertainers, after suffering a 53-28 defeat at Kingsholm.
Bristol’s failure to reach the knockout stages of Europe left them without a game in the fortnight since then, but Lane says the time away from competitive action has been used wisely.
