Steve Diamond believes there is still fight in his Newcastle side, despite them slipping to a late loss at fellow strugglers Exeter.
“Well, if we turn up like that every week, we wouldn’t be bottom of the league,” he said.
“The job is getting some consistency. We were frustrated after Sale last week and I think the lads put that to bed today.
“They defended well for long periods, but we made a couple of errors in the last ten minutes which allowed Exeter to get into that position. We’re disappointed, but we’re not distraught.”
