FALCONS flyer Ben Stevenson put in a stunning display and proved to be the catalyst as Newcastle scored a late try to secure a worthy win and go top of Group A.
On a different night the Durham man would have scored a hat-trick, but the 26-year-old had to settle for one try and one assist, as Falcons chalked up their fourth win in five fixtures.
Newcastle boss Steve Diamond said: “I’m really pleased, we aimed for three wins out of three in the cup and we’ve managed it, so we’ve hit a little bench mark.
