Concern over George Ford as he waits for scan on thigh

Sale medics revealed George Ford was taken off to prevent further damage after his thigh injury and are waiting nervously on scan results.
Fly-half Ford, who missed England’s summer tour to Japan and New Zealand with an Achilles problem, will know the full extent of the damage tomorrow.
The Sharks’ head of medical services Navdeep Sandhu said: “George felt his quad when he went for that long distance kick and felt he could carry on but was slightly aware of it.
“It is too early to say but the fact we are going to get an image means we suspect it is something, but we don’t know enough yet....
