Jonny May made sure his final appearance at Kingsholm ended on a high and is relishing his last appearance for Gloucester in Friday’s Challenge Cup final against the Sharks.
“Newcastle would have targeted this match and they gave it a good go, but we played some brilliant rugby at times,” he said. “It was an emotional day and I hope to continue playing. A few options are coming in but nothing concrete yet and I am only thinking about the final.”
It was Newcastle’s 21st consecutive Premiership defeat and consultant DoR Steve Diamond has told his players to brace themselves for pre-season.
