George Skivington expects to see significant improvements within his Gloucester squad next season after a campaign he readily admits has failed to meet his expectations.
Defeat to Exeter last Sunday was Gloucester’s 12th reverse in 16 starts this season and leaves them just one above bottom-placed Newcastle with two games remaining.
Success in the Premiership Rugby Cup, plus qualification for the last four of the Challenge Cup has helped lift some of the doom and gloom around Kingsholm, but Skivington is aware that performances in the top flight have been well below standard.
