BEARS director of rugby Pat Lam said his side were guilty of overcomplicating matters.
“There was plenty of effort, but we turned over way too much possession, especially in the first half when we made too many errors,” he said. “We were panicking a bit, looking to throw no look passes, we forgot that sometimes all you need to do is build pressure and keep the scoreboard ticking over.
“And then after halftime we started well, got on the scoreboard but lost concentration and when we went two tries behind it was always going to be hard work.
