Saracens boss Mark McCall admitted he had taken a punt on picking his returning England internationals but it paid off.
All seven of those involved were in the 23 when England were beaten in the World Cup semi-final a fortnight ago but all were desperate to play.
McCall said: “It was a bit of a gamble. We had seven English internationals coming back who had not been at the club and had had two days prep but we’ve found down the years these players are very good at coming back in.
"We left it to them to decide when their break was going to happen and they all said they wanted to play.”
