Magnus Bradbury describes missing out on the Rugby World Cup as “a kick in the guts” but recognises how having the summer off has helped him to avoid the dreaded ‘second-season syndrome’ at Bristol Bears.
The former Edinburgh man caught the eye with his energetic displays in his first season down south in 2022/23, and is determined to back it up this year.
And the early signs are encouraging. The No.8 has played every single minute of the Premiership campaign so far, bagging two tries in the process and doing his fair share of carrying and heavy hitting in defence.
